Youth Exchange Programs
The ARS, Inc. supports the interaction of Armenian children of the Diaspora. To facilitate the development of these important connections and friendships, the ARS, Inc. began its Youth Exchange Program in 1987.
The program allows children to attend one of these summer camps for an experience of fun and enlightenment:
1) Khalkidiki Camp of the ARS of Macedonia and Thrace
(ages 10-16)
2) Armenian Blue Cross Belfontaine Camp of France
(ages 11-14)
3) AYF-YOARF Western USA Camp
(ages 10-14)
4) AYF-YOARF Eastern USA Camp Haiastan
(ages 10-14)
The ARS, Inc. pays the camp expenses of all Youth Exchange Program participants. Travel expenses are shared, with one-third paid by the parent/guardian, one-third paid by the local ARS sponsoring entity, and one-third paid by the ARS regional entity.
Selection priority is given to children based on financial need and to those who have not attended an Armenian summer camp. Applications should reach the ARS Central Executive office through the applicants local ARS Regional or Chapter-At-Large Executive not later than May 31 of each year.
