The Armenian Relief Society’s regional executive bodies have started accepting applications for the Eremian Scholarship for the academic year 2012-2013. Both graduate and undergraduate Armenian students, who have completed a year of college, are eligible to apply for the scholarship. Application forms to the Eremian Scholarship, conditions and lists of requested additional documents can be obtained from local ARS Boards of Directors. Completed applications must also be presented to the executive board of local ARS entities.
“For decades hundreds of students both in the Diaspora and the homeland have benefited from the Eremian scholarship to further their education”,- said ARS Central Executive Board member Sonia Akelian. She added: “consecutive ARS Central Executive Boards were sensible in keeping the organizational Educational Fund restricted and used only the income from this fund to finance the Eremian scholarship. The current Central Executive Board is continuing that trend”.
